The Ultimate Radical Painting
Press Release
3/26/2026
The Wall Gallery is illuminated with joy as we prepare an exhibition like no other we have installed. Our dear friend and colleague Anders Knutsson has delivered a spectacle of light which expands interstellar space in a unique and visionary body of work. Anders came to the USA to help design flying machines and in the intervening years has given wings to unprecedented paintings which reveal the structure of light itself. Like airplanes that fly on wings of photons.
Beneath the scum bled surfaces of monolithic paint resides a world evolved like life through light itself. Each painting holds secret messages that shine with the aid of a special luminescence and speak to a viewer unsuspecting of meanings which lay beneath and beyond our senses. He has created paintings that manifest a reality which confounds reality. While each unique work simultaneously projects content and captures our imagination like solar butterflies in a cosmic net.
The opening reception shines on April 2nd from 6 to 9PM at The Wall Gallery’s subterranean fortress located at 41 Seabring Street in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn. Please come, be our guests and bear witness to this miracle.
